The PaLSTEP/KEEP Program was initiated in 2005 in the Twin Falls School District under a Federal grant known as the 21st Century Community Learning Centers. There were no fees collected for services rendered that year. These services are not funded by property taxes but are an extension of services provided under grant funding.
Located at both Perrine and Lincoln Elementary Schools. Students enrolled in this program are asked to pay $20.00 per 6-7 week session or $100.00 per school year. These fees are used for field trips, extra snacks and refreshments, and supplies.
Located at both Perrine and Lincoln Elementary Schools. Students enrolled in this program are asked to pay $160.00 per month ($1440 per year) for the additional four hours of instruction that they receive during the school day. These fees pay for curriculum and enrichment supplies, transportation for field trips, extra snacks and refreshments, and required salaries.
Sustainability of these after school programs will allow the Twin Falls School District to continue to enrich the lives of many children with academic and extended learning opportunities aligned with state and district curriculum objectives. The establishment of this fee structure will ensure that the program will continue to function efficiently.
