LIBRARY RULES

You need to bring your activity card or agenda book to the library as identification to ensure that books are checked out to the right person. You need permission to check out more than one library book at a time. Books are checked out for a three week period. You need to have the book in hand to renew it. If a book is overdue, there is a one week grace period to return the book without a consequence, after that there will be a fine. Rather than pay an overdue fine, you can choose to submit a one page paper with the following information: a clear explanation of why the book was overdue and a clear proposal of how you will avoid a similar situation in the future. This paper must be typed or neatly handwritten with good grammar, correct punctuation, all words spelled correctly, and it must be signed and dated by the student and a parent or guardian before it is submitted to the librarian for consideration to have library privileges reinstated. You can also make arrangements to work off fines in the library for a lost or damaged book. Students with fines will not be allowed to participate in year end activities. Library fines that are not paid by the end of the year will be included in fall registration costs.
