It all began on a freezing cold day in January of 2001. Someone left a puppy outside the library here at Harrison Elementary. One of our 1st grade teachers decided to take him home, even though she already had six cats.

As it turned out, the puppy was very sick with Parvo. Parvo causes severe vomiting and diarrhea, and he wouldn't eat. Eventually he would have died. However, when the parents and teachers found out he was sick, they donated money to help pay for the vet bill.

Now he is strong, healthy and very happy! He often comes to visit the kids at school. Of course he loves school because that's where he found his home and his name, "Harrison".
